Cleanup: We show up to your job site with a clean pump, and we like to leave the job site with a clean pump. When it comes to pumping concrete, we appreciate when the customer and contractor is prepared with a designated washout place. If you are placing concrete on a new construction site there are typically plenty of convenient places to washout the pump. If on the other hand, if the work takes place in an existing residential subdivision and there are no bare patches of ground to washout on, then a larger kiddie pool works well to capture the washout materials from the concrete pump. Basically there is about two wheelbarrows of concrete that do not discharge from the pump and must be dumped through the hatch in the bottom of the pump there on site. TCB Concrete Pumping requires the customer to make the appropriate accommodations to capture the washout and to dispose of it. Also, click on the image below to see how we clean out the hoses:
Being Responsible for the correct concrete mix: TCB Concrete Pumping tries to communicate frequently with the concrete batch plant and dispatchers to maintain consistency with the specialized needs of having the proper pumpable concrete mixes designed and delivered. TCB Concrete pumping is not responsible for poor quality concrete mixes that will not pump, if the concrete plant send the wrong mix or a load of concrete that will not pump, the customer and the concrete plant need to work out the situation and to be clear TCB will still expect to be paid for our work. Below is an example of a concrete mix that was delivered but would not pump, it blew the reducer off of the pump's outlet and caused a lot of problems.
